Terms and Conditions
Da Ponte Opera Festival โ General terms and conditions for ticket purchases.
Last updated: May 2025. Please read carefully before proceeding with your purchase.
Art. 1 โ Subject matter and scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of tickets for performances of the Da Ponte Opera Festival (hereinafter โthe Festivalโ), made through the official website or authorised box offices. Purchasing a ticket implies full acceptance of these conditions by the buyer.
The Festival reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with notice published on the official website. Changes will not apply retroactively to purchases already completed.
Art. 2 โ Purchase and payment
Tickets may be purchased online via the Festivalโs official website, at the theatre box office on the days and at the times indicated, or through authorised resellers. The purchase is considered completed upon payment confirmation.
Prices are in Euros and inclusive of VAT. Any pre-sale fees or service charges will be clearly shown before checkout is finalised. The Festival accepts payment by credit card, debit card, and any additional methods indicated at checkout.
Note: Tickets purchased online will be sent to the email address provided at registration. If not received within 24 hours, please check your spam folder or contact the box office.
Art. 3 โ Reduced rates โ Residents and minors
The Da Ponte Opera Festival offers discounted rates for the following categories, subject to verification of eligibility at the entrance:
- Municipal residents: a discount reserved for residents of the municipality of Vittorio Veneto, upon presentation of a valid identity document confirming residency. The discount cannot be combined with other promotions.
- Under 18s: reduced-price admission for those under 18 years of age. Presentation of an identity document confirming age is required.
Reduced-rate tickets are available until the reserved allocation for each category runs out. Festival staff reserve the right to request documentary proof of eligibility before admitting the ticket holder. If the required document is not presented, payment of the difference from the full price will be required.
Art. 4 โ Changes and refunds
Purchased tickets are non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation or postponement of a performance by the organisation. In the event of postponement, the ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date; if the buyer is unable to attend on the new date, they may request a refund within 15 days of the official announcement.
Date or seat-category changes are possible, subject to availability, upon request to the box office at least 48 hours before the performance and upon payment of any price difference. No refunds will be issued for price differences in favour of the buyer.
Art. 5 โ Admission to the theatre
Entry to the auditorium is permitted upon presentation of a valid ticket โ printed or digital โ and, if requested by staff, a form of identity. The Festival reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not hold a valid ticket or who arrives in a state incompatible with the proper enjoyment of the performance.
Attendees are strongly advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Latecomers will only be admitted during scheduled intervals, so as not to disturb the ongoing performance. The Festival is not responsible for any partial loss of enjoyment of the performance due to the buyerโs late arrival.
Art. 6 โ Auditorium rules
During performances, the following are strictly prohibited: the use of luminous or sound-emitting devices, any audio/video recording even in part, bringing food or drinks into the auditorium, and smoking anywhere in the building. Mobile phones must be switched off or set to silent mode for the entire duration of the performance.
Appropriate attire for a theatre setting is required. Festival staff may ask anyone who fails to comply with the internal rules to leave the auditorium, with no entitlement to a ticket refund.
Art. 7 โ Programme changes
The Da Ponte Opera Festival reserves the right to alter the artistic programme, the cast of singers, the conductor, or other elements of the performance due to force majeure or artistic reasons, without this giving rise to any right of refund. Performances of equivalent artistic standard will in any case be guaranteed.
Significant changes will be communicated on the official website and, where possible, by email to registered buyers.
Art. 8 โ Resale and transfer of tickets
The resale of tickets for profit is strictly forbidden. Tickets purchased through unauthorised channels may be invalidated with no right to a refund. Free transfer of a ticket to a third party is permitted; the recipient must fully comply with these terms and conditions.
Art. 9 โ Privacy and data processing
Personal data collected at the time of purchase will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Italian law, solely for purposes related to the management of the purchase and the provision of the requested services. The full privacy notice is available in the Privacy Policy section of the website.
