Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Festival celebrates the genius of Mozart’s great librettist, Lorenzo Da Ponte, in his very own hometown: Vittorio Veneto. Our mission is to build a unique cultural bridge, where high-calibre artistic training meets opera productions of international standing. 

The centrepiece of the 2026 edition is the staging of “Le Nozze di Figaro” (The Marriage of Figaro), an independent professional production featuring a cast of internationally renowned artists selected from London and Italy. With a new stage design and accompanied by the Venice Chamber Orchestra, the opera completes Mozart’s famous trilogy, offering the audience a unique experience. 

The Festival also hosts an elite academy dedicated to 32 young international talents. Divided into three training levels, these artists undertake a programme of linguistic, vocal and stage training under the guidance of world-renowned masters. We firmly believe that opera is a living heritage to be passed on.

For this reason, the Da Ponte Opera Festival places the involvement of young people and schools at the heart of its mission. Following the extraordinary success of previous editions, which saw hundreds of students cheering on our artists, we are dedicating a full-length performance of the opera exclusively to local schools. Through free concerts in town squares and educational initiatives, we aim to break down the barriers between the stage and the audience, bringing the magic of opera into the hearts of the younger generations.
