Born in 1996, Enrico Basso studied singing at the Udine Conservatoire, specialising under the guidance of Annamaria DellโOste, and furthered his training at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with William Matteuzzi. In 2026, he was admitted to the Accademia Rossiniana "Alberto Zedda" at the Rossini Opera Festival.
Winner of the Mozart Prize at the "Cittร di Belluno" Competition and third prize at the Premio Nazionale delle Arti, he has debuted various roles including Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni in Belluno, Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi at the Mittelfest, and the Jailer/Grand Inquisitor (Il carceriere/Grande Inquisitore) in Il prigioniero in Siena.
Among his most recent engagements are Fenton in Falstaff for Opera Domani, Sir Bruno Roberton in I puritani at the theatres of Como, Pavia, and Cremona, and Don Eusebio in L'occasione fa il ladro in Rovigo.
