The Welsh tenor Rhydian Jenkins is a member of the International Opera Studio at Oper Kรถln. Formerly a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio and Garsington Opera, he graduated from the David Seligman Opera School.
He won the Bryn Terfel Scholarship in 2019 and the MOCSA Prize in 2021.
His roles at Oper Kรถln include Pang in Turandot, Don Curzio in The Marriage of Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), and the Lamplighter (Il lampionaio) in Manon Lescaut. He will soon make his debut at the Stadttheater Gieรen as Sellem in The Rakeโs Progress, before performing Malcolm in Macbeth at the Longborough Festival Opera.
He has sung in prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Wigmore Hall.
In the 2026/27 season, he will return to Cologne and make his debut at the Opรฉra de Lausanne as Prologue in The Turn of the Screw (Il giro di vite).
