Venice Chamber Orchestra

The Venice Chamber Orchestra (VCO) is an orchestra made up of talented young musicians who graduated with distinction from conservatoires across the Triveneto region. On the initiative of conductor Pietro Semenzato, they chose to form a youth orchestra dedicated to symphonic and operatic repertoire.

The Venice Chamber Orchestra was established as a cultural association in 2014. Its concert programmes span from the Baroque and Classical eras to the Romantic period and the 20th century, with a particular focus on promoting rare or lesser-known compositions.

The orchestra performs in various concert halls and theatres, earning both public and critical acclaim.

Among the venues where it has performed are: Teatro La Fenice and Teatro Malibran in Venice, Teatro Toniolo in Mestre, Teatro โ€œMario Del Monacoโ€ in Treviso, Teatro โ€œL. Da Ponteโ€ in Vittorio Veneto, Teatro Accademico in Castelfranco Veneto, Teatro Comunale in Belluno, Teatro โ€œZancanaroโ€ in Sacile, Teatro โ€œMaffioliโ€ in Caerano San Marco, Teatro di Villa Belvedere and Teatro Nuovo in Mirano, Teatro โ€œA. Vivaldiโ€ in Jesolo, Teatro โ€œAldo Rossiโ€ in Borgoricco, Teatro โ€œBallarinโ€ in Lendinara, Teatro Sociale โ€œE. Balzanโ€ in Badia Polesine, Teatro โ€œS. Pertiniโ€ in Santa Maria di Sala, Sala dei Giganti of Palazzo Liviano in Padua, Sala Concerti of Palazzo Pisani in Venice, Basilica of Santโ€™Eufemia in Grado, Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice, Duomo Vecchio in Monselice, Auditorium Generali Italia in Mogliano Veneto, PalaMazzalovo in Montebelluna, Palazzo del Cinema at the Venice Lido, Pavilion Venice at the Biennale, as well as in numerous other churches, theatres, villas, and public squares across the region.
