Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro
Scottish soprano Monica McGhee was a โYoung Artistโ at the National Opera Studio, graduating from the RCS and the RCM.
Last season she made her debut at English National Opera in the role of Mary Beaton (*Mary Queen of Scots*) and returned earlier this year as the understudy for Jenny Smith (The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny).
Her most recent leading roles include Tosca with Opera Bohemia, Beatrice with Mid Wales Opera and Iolanta with IF Opera.
She has performed as Lรซila (cover) in *Les Pรชcheurs de Perles* with Opera North and as Donna Anna in *Don Giovanni* at the Dorset Opera Festival.
Monica has performed as a soloist in major theatres across the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall, and made her debut with Opera Rara in the recording of *La Princesse de Trรฉbizonde*.
She has performed internationally with the Royal Opera House in Japan and Norway.
She has been a finalist in various international competitions.
